Cool and Collected

This exhibition, featuring new paintings and sculpture by popular gallery
artists, will open on Thursday evening, July 9th, during the Scottsdale
Gallery Association's annual "Summer Spectacular ArtWalk".
"Cool and Collected" is an exhibition featuring new paintings
by Robert LaDuke, Stephen Morath, Bruce Cody and Pam Powell and newly
created sculptures by Roberto Cardinale and Georgia Gerber.

The Mexican Designers Cristina Pineda and Ricardo
Covalin began their collaboration in 1996 with the common goal of "expanding
the richness of the Mexican and Latin American cultures and traditions

This class will focus on figure drawing with a delicate and deliberate
approach. Beginning with short poses ranging from 2, 3, 5 and 10 minutes,
the attention will be on getting the rhythm and gesture of the pose
first. As the class progresses the poses will get longer as attention
will be concentrated on building the drawing and adding details.
Some of the topics discussed will be anatomy, structure, rhythm, mass
versus line, form, and most importantly, capturing personality in your
drawings. Getting a likeness and portrait elements into your work will
also be discussed. This class is designed to strengthen general drawing
skills in any aspect of the visual arts including: painting landscapes,
still life, portraits, illustration, animation, fashion design, and
